The Tiber Island [Isola Tiberina] lies in the middle of Tiber river in Rome: natural ford, it was essential to the erection of permanent installations on the surrounding heights.
It is connected to the banks through Fabricio and Cestio bridges.
Cult place for various gods, it was mainly dedicated to Medicine God Esculapio.
